It’s raining. That means my hands ache, but not an awful lot… at least not yet. I’m staving it off with Tiger Balm and fingerless gloves. It’s freezing in the office today so I guess that isn’t really helping so much and I’m wrapping myself up in my mandala shawl. But it isn’t snow… and that is good.
The aches are probably worse because I’m coming up on infusion day in just a week. The gray doesn’t make fighting depression any easier. I keep taking the Welbutrin every day and most days I don’t spend half the day crying but gray yukky days make it way harder.
It probably doesn’t help that I failed epically at the gym this morning. After pushing probably too hard yesterday, I couldn’t do the treadmill and was relegated to the bike. I still put in over thirty minutes but it was way harder than it should have been. I’m hoping that Wednesday (if I actually choose to follow the one day on and one day off training schedule) is a better day. The Disney playlist that I’ve been training to for next year’s Princess Half is a moral booster… there are days that I just need the lyrics. I’ve been listening to “Remember Me” from Coco a lot lately.
Yesterday was a good ‘run’ even though it was slower than it should have been because of the snowy, slippy, slushy streets from yesterday morning. 4 miles was good even if the next mile and a half at the gym on the treadmill and three miles on the bike kicked my butt. It was really great to be there with Bear though. He did 30 minutes on the treadmill at about 1.7 MPH and 20 minutes on the bike. He doesn’t like the bike at the gym because it is harder to peddle than the one at Respiratory Therapy.
Bear has been having more trouble keeping his oxygen up when he goes up a flight of stairs. Even just walking up the stairs can kick his butt a lot of days. I will be glad to talk to Dr Southern in March to see what might be going on. I really wish he would go to the doctor to see if there is an infection somewhere. I worry…
The rain drips and drips down the windows. Beyond the rain and the fog blows through. Everywhere the streets shine with headlights in the rain.
Hope everyone has a good week. Happy Monday…

April, this darn winter is killing me as well. Of course as I write that we are having a heat wave. We are up over 60 today, but it will fall back to the 20’s and below soon enough. Give me sunny weather and 60 so I can ride my bicycle. Please!!!

Wow, I don’t think I could keep up with you for all those miles, especially outdoors. I love the imagery of spring dripping down the windows, though I’m sure you will be so glad to see better weather. Soon.
