Today was one of those days
Today was an interesting day. We managed to have the beginnings of our end of the current interesting winter storm. We have yet to see any snow but we have some (for here) wicked cold. It was 30 today. It is supposed to be in the teens tonight with a windchill of 0 or below. The high tomorrow won’t break freezing. It will be interesting to see how people here deal with all of this.
I have been thinking a lot today about the fact that sometimes you are simply in the place that you need to be when you need to be there. You have the information you need to have. All of the stars line up and what needs to be… happens.
Me? I have been where I have needed to be to help answer questions and lend a little support to two friends who may be facing RA. One has a tentative diagnosis. The other awaits the answers to blood tests. If a unique set of circumstances had not put me in exactly the place I need to be to be there for these people I would not have been there to answer the questions.
Another friend has been telling me that I make a difference. Once upon a time I thought I needed to do something HUGE to make a difference. I needed to be bigger than life and be incredibly in your face (ME? no…. ) to do something that matters. I’m really really starting to realize that I can do something that matters.
I am starting to realize that I really am the liveliest bass in the lake!
